Community Services Leader
We are seeking a Community Services Leader to champion integrated, person-centred services.
* This is more than a leadership role; it's an opportunity to embed trauma-informed, culturally safe practices while driving innovation and inclusion through the Carer Gateway program.
We're looking for someone who brings:
* Proven leadership experience: you've led multidisciplinary teams, navigated complexity, and delivered results with empathy and clarity.
* Strong report writing and analytical skills: you know how to translate data into insights, craft compelling narratives, and communicate impact to diverse stakeholders.
* A deep understanding of your local community: you're connected, committed, and ready to co-create solutions that reflect regional strengths and needs.
* You are a networker and have a relational approach: you understand the importance of working together.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and embed community development strategies that strengthen local capacity, build collaborative partnerships, and ensure Wellways services are responsive, inclusive, and connected to the community's unique needs.
* Work closely with Counsellors, Coaches, Peer Support Facilitators and the Carer Hub Navigator to ensure services are inclusive, trauma-informed and culturally safe.
Requirements:
* Tertiary Qualifications in a social science or related discipline or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated experience working within the specified local community in at least one of the Caring, Mental Health, Community, Disability or Health Sciences Sectors
* A minimum of 2 years' leadership experience
* Available to participate in 'out of hours' activities as required
* Right to work within Australia
* Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (free online course)
* Satisfactory National Police Records Check
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check (Employee/Paid)
