Pit & Pipe Labourers are key contributors to our infrastructure projects. Their work involves excavating and backfilling trenches, manholes, and pits for the installation and connection of underground pipes and conduits.
We are seeking experienced Pit & Pipe Labourers to join our team. The successful candidates will be involved in works across multiple projects, with the potential for regional work.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all works are completed to required health, safety, and quality standards.
* Excavate and backfill trenches, manholes, and pits for the installation and connection of underground pipes and conduits.
* Safely operate various hand tools, compactors, etc.
* Work collaboratively and mentor team members where possible.
* Assist in preparation of setting up work sites daily.
* Collaborate with team members and assist with additional labouring duties as required.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A current driver's license and construction white card.
* Knowledge of NBN networks.
* Previous experience in cable winch operations and basic rod & roping is desirable.
* An understanding of existing network architecture (pits, cables, ducts etc) is desirable.
* The ability to read and interpret plans.
