The Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the precinct. Reporting to the Commercial & Acquisitions Manager, and working closely with the Finance team, this role focuses on transactions finance support, accurate processing, and maintaining financial records across multiple business units.
This is a hands-on, high-volume support role suited to someone with foundational finance experience who enjoys structured work, accuracy, and working within established financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with daily banking and revenue reconciliation
* Process accounts payable / receivable, including invoice matching and coding
* Maintain supplier and debtor records
* Support reconciliation of POS, EFTPOS and daily takings
* Assist with month-end tasks such as report preparation and stocktake entries
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing in line with audit requirements
* Provide timely support to internal stakeholders and suppliers
* Provide general finance administration support.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
* Previous experience in a finance support, accounts payable / receivable, or transactional finance role
* Strong attention to detail and basic reconciliation experience
* Experience using accounting or POS systems (e.g. Xero, SwiftPOS, Metropolis or similar)
* Intermediate Excel skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
* Clear communication skills and a professional approach to stakeholder support
* Completed or near-completed tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience in hospitality, clubs, or multi-entity environments is desirable.
