The Head of Quality Australia, is responsible for implementing and driving the operational quality systems for Australia, working with the state teams to drive quality improvement across the business. The role will establish, coordinate, and provide business leadership using the endorsed Quality framework, tools, guidelines, KPIs and reporting methodologies.
The role will be responsible for reviewing business processes and planning to standardise best practice across the organisation using a continuous improvement framework/process. The role will require you to collaborate closely with the global organisation to drive continuous improvement and change across the group.
Key areas for the role:
- The key focus of the role is to provide strategic leadership and direction ensuring all Australian business units operate in accordance with best practice and regulatory standards.- Develop and maintain a continuous state of audit readiness for all local, state, and national quality requirements- Establish and maintain effective processes and mechanisms to sustain best practice to improve clinical outcomes and quality through the integration of state quality systems into a global framework, including; Risk Management, Incident reporting & Management, Electronic Document Management and Clinical Auditing- Develop, maintain and report National Quality Performance
We are interested in hearing from people who:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role- Post graduate qualification (or similar or working towards) in quality, management or leadership- Demonstrated knowledge of safety and quality management principles and theory, quality management systems applicable to the setting, audit and data collection, analysis and evaluation, benchmarking and use of best practice-
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to implement change management processes in relation to quality management and experience in liaising, influencing, and negotiating with staff at all levels of the organization- Ability to work collaboratively with external stakeholders- Working in an IT systems orientated environment of SharePoint/Intranet and risk incident management systems, advanced Microsoft Office capability - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio Skills in managing committees and delivering outcomes- Strong background in developing and delivering training in quality and risk- Strong background in document management and control, internal audit, compliance and process mapping- Preferred - clinical experience in similar environment
