Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team in a range of civil projects, including earthwork quotes, multi-unit apartment complexes and carparks.
* Tender submissions will range from $500,000 to $800,000+
Main Responsibilities
* Downloading and reviewing tender documents.
* Measuring and creating take-offs and BOQs using InSite estimating software.
* Providing accurate estimates over a wide range of civil projects.
* Estimating from first principles for bulk and detailed earthworks.
* Preparing quotes and tender submissions.
* Liaising with customers and suppliers, developing relationships and following up with clients.
* Preparing SWMS and other safety documentation.
* Contract administration duties including reviewing scope of works and contracts before sign off.
* Using programs such as InSite for take-offs.
* Occasional site visits or client meetings may be required.
Requirements
* An Australian permanent resident is a must.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience estimating hard-dollar civil construction projects is required.
* Previous project experience across bulk earthworks, roads and car-parks is essential.
Must have local knowledge of Perth ground conditions and be based in Perth.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to work under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills.
