**Category Manager - NSW Government**
A Category Manager is required by a NSW Government department based in Parramatta + WFH (hybrid) on an initial 12-month contract with likely ongoing extensions.

- **Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week**:
- **Pay Rate: Up to $900 per day + Super**:
- **Contract Length: 12 months with likely ongoing extensions**
**Primary Purpose of the Role**:
As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing, deploying & managing category strategies as well as leading strategic sourcing activities to ensure value for money, appropriate levels of service & compliance with procedures & best practice.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Proactively partner with the business to understand medium to long term strategic plans
- Lead the development, implementation & monitoring of category management plans
- Develop & implement advanced commercial partnership models for program of delivery
- Work with sourcing specialists to develop & implement strategies based on market analysis
- Guide & oversee the end-to-end strategic sourcing process
**About You**:
- Demonstrated experience in Category Management & Procurement
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, contract development, supplier management & procurement metrics reporting
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement & communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working with business partners to develop effective category & procurement strategies
