About the Role
Great Ocean Road Health (Lorne) is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join us and work as part of a dynamic health care team within our diverse health service on a full time basis (38 hours per week) although part time employment would be considered negotiable for a suitable candidate. Shifts will be on a rostered, rotating basis along with a rostered on call availability expected. The position offers a unique professional blend; functioning autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role to offer Urgent Care services to the community of Lorne and surrounds while assisting to teach and develop our clinical team. Work may extend to the Lorne Medical centre for suitably experienced candidates.
Essential requirements include:
Registered Nurse Division One holding a current registration with Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Masters of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) with relevant unrestricted AHPRA notation as a Nurse Practitioner Demonstrated experience in a position of senior clinical leadership. Demonstrated experience in an Emergency / Urgent Care Unit / Rural Remote practice Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in consulting, liaising and negotiating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Experience in development, delivery and evaluation of education Flexibility for After-Hours rostered and on call work.
