Details: ACT Heritage is establishing a merit pool to fill ASO6 Assessment Officer positions over the next 12 months, as vacancies arise.
The Heritage Assesment Officer position provides advice in relation to development projects, in line with the Heritage Act 2004. The position would suit someone with heritage conservation, planning and development assessment experience.
Assessment Officers will focus on either Historic and Built heritage, or Aboriginal heritage.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Qualifications and/or experience in heritage management, history, architecture, archaeology, planning, cultural geography or a related discipline are highly desirable.
Notes: These are temporary positions available for a period of up to 12 months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
