Law Squared has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Auckland and London.About The Role / Key Responsibilities We are recruiting for two (2) new roles to join and work with our dynamic and fast paced Disputes + Litigation team.Areas Of ExperienceManage debt and asset recovery matters for national and international clients, including breach of contract and enforcement of guarantees and indemnities across Australian jurisdictionsMotor vehicle insurance litigation, including recovery, settlement negotiations and some fraud-related matters, advising national insurers across AustraliaFor Both Roles, The Key Responsibilities IncludeWork closely with the Head of Disputes + Litigation to continue to grow and enhance the practice groupWork closely and collaboratively with team members of the Disputes + Litigation team as well as other teams across Law SquaredManage the retention of clients including engaging and nurturing these relationshipsActively work with the Disputes + Litigation team to execute the team goals and achieve the targets in line with Law Squared Strategic PlanParticipate in client acquisition and retention strategies and activities on behalf of the Disputes + Litigation teamPeople development and managementWork with your team members and support, train and mentor to enable a consistent quality and style in the Law Squared way and support the development of team membersSupport with the review and improvement of the service offerings and solutions including the ways of working, proposals, knowledge sharing and the use of technologyAssist with onboarding of new team membersClient ExperienceDeliver legal services in the Law Squared way, providing a consistent, quality serviceManage, nurture and grow our clients by developing strong, trusted, empathetic relationships with themWhere requested, act as an effective point of contact for clientsTeam targets At Law Squared we do not have individual targets rather we set targets on a team level. A shared team approach to achieving these targets avoids any siloed behaviour, encourages the sharing of resources and opportunities and importantly fosters a culture of collaboration – which is vital to the way of working at Law Squared.About You The ideal candidates:Have 6+ PQE;Have experience in (at least two of the following areas):Motor vehicle insurance litigation, including recovery, settlement negotiations and some fraud-related matters, advising national insurers across Australia;general debt and asset recovery litigation including acting for financiers, recovery agents, debt collection firms and national corporate recovery clients; and/orHave worked with national clients on recovery matters, breach of contract, and enforcement of guarantees and indemnities;Insolvency litigation, including conducting winding up and creditor's petition proceedings and assisting trustees or liquidators with recovery action (e.g. voidable transactions); and/orInsurance litigation, including settlements and recovery, and general advice on policy or indemnity;Have great attention to detail;Have the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate where necessary;Autonomously manage and progress files;Have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to engage with clients;Be comfortable working in a technology-enabled legal environment and open to adopting new tools, platforms and ways of working; andSupervise junior and/or graduate lawyers.Lawyers at Law Squared act in an autonomous yet collaborative way.
