Join to apply for the Pre-Service Teacher Fixed Term Pool - 2025 role at Department of Education, Western Australia

Pre-service teachers enrolled in the final year of an accredited, early childhood, primary, or secondary initial teacher education qualification (Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching) in 2025, can now apply for our Pre-Service Teacher Fixed Term Pool to be considered for teaching opportunities in public schools across the state.

Are you living in WA and are interested in part-time teaching work to increase your classroom experience?

We are seeking early childhood, primary and secondary pre-service teachers in the final year of an accredited initial teacher education qualification (Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching) who are interested in teaching part-time (up to 0.8 FTE) in Western Australian public schools in 2025.

Schools may consider you for part-time teaching vacancies in 2025, based on your preferences and availability. Appointments may vary in duration.

Will you graduate in 2026 or did you graduate in 2024 or 2025? If yes, we invite you to join us for an in-person event exclusively for graduate teachers! At this event you will meet with public schools, workforce experts, and teacher support teams.

The event will also include workshops on topics such as CV writing, application writing and graduate teacher support!

Secure your spot and register now - Graduate Teacher Career Evening 2025. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 5 August from 4:30pm

Who Can Apply

You are also able to apply for the Graduate Teacher Pool during your final year of study to be considered for early offers as a qualified teacher.

If you are already a qualified teacher, please register your interest through the Fixed Term Teacher Pool .
