Overview
Team Survey Design is looking for an Engineer with a focus on frontend development to join our cross-functional team to create a better world of work together. Our team is responsible for the end-to-end survey experience. We build the tools our customers use to design effective surveys and the experience their employees use to provide feedback.
You'll have a direct impact on several exciting projects. We are in the process of:
- Rebuilding our survey design experience from the ground up to be more contemporary and powerful.
- Integrating AI tools to help customers design more impactful surveys and provide actionable insights from their data.
- Scaling our product to meet the complex needs of large, enterprise customers.
- Migrating our frontend to a modern stack using Next.js and TypeScript.
You Will
- Take ownership of features from technical design through to implementation and delivery.
- Write clean, readable, and production-ready code for key features.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand customer problems and deliver value.
- Contribute to a culture of quality by writing tests, performing code reviews, and leaving the codebase better than you found it.
You Have
- Experience building web applications with modern frontend technologies, including React and TypeScript. Experience with Next.js is a big plus.
- A solid understanding of software design principles and patterns.
- Experience breaking down complex problems into smaller, more manageable tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to write readable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, including deploying and operating software in production.
You Are
- A collaborative teammate who communicates clearly and helps amplify others on the team.
- Pragmatic, with the ability to make and explain sensible trade-offs to deliver the best possible outcome.
- Passionate about building inclusive and accessible products that can be used by everyone.
- Someone who enjoys research and is keen to help us build a culture of experimentation.
- Someone who thinks deeply about the customer problem, asking "why" to ensure your work delivers real value.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, seeking clarity when needed but able to make decisions and drive work forward without knowing everything upfront.
- Someone with a growth mindset, who is open to feedback, accountable for mistakes, and sees challenges as learning opportunities.
- A supportive colleague who helps other engineers improve and grow in an open, respectful, and empathetic manner.
