Tikka and Tonic is a newly established Indian restaurant committed to delivering bold, traditional
flavours with a modern touch. We are seeking two experienced and versatile full-time Chefs who are
highly skilled in both the Curry and Tandoori sections.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes including both curries and tandoori
items (meats, breads, and vegetarian dishes).
Ensure food is consistently prepared and presented to the highest standard.
Manage prep, portioning, and timely execution of orders for lunch and dinner services.
Maintain stock control, kitchen cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards.
Collaborate on menu planning, daily specials, and recipe development.
Supervise and support kitchen staff during service when required.
Role Requirements:
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Minimum 2 years of recent experience working independently as a Chef specializing in both
Curry and Tandoori cooking.
Strong understanding of Indian spices, traditional cooking methods, and tandoor operation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure across both sections of the kitchen.
Good communication and English language skills.
