We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Rheumatology to contribute to the teaching and research in the Specialty of Rheumatology, Sydney Medical School.
Providing leadership in developing and maintaining a clinical, translational or basic science research program relevant to Rheumatology is a key responsibility.
Leading the development, implementation and promotion of clinical/education programs for MD students relating to Rheumatology is also crucial.
Applicants must have an emerging national/international reputation and research track record, including publications in peer-reviewed international journals and success in obtaining research funding and supervision of research students.
Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives within Rheumatology is highly desirable. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a clinical, translational or basic science research program relevant to Rheumatology, lead the development, implementation and promotion of clinical/education programs for MD students relating to Rheumatology, and promote a culture that is collaborative, team-oriented and one that respects the skill sets and opinions of all staff.
Requirements
PhD in a field relevant to Rheumatology
Registered as a medical practitioner in NSW with recognition by AHPRA as a Specialist Rheumatologist
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, or equivalent
