Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
Lead strategic procurement and commercial excellence across the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV). We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Procurement & Commercial to lead the procurement and contract management function and shape the future of commercial practices across the organisation.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate and Innovation, and leading a team of procurement and commercial specialists, you will:
* Lead a team of procurement and contract management specialists within a high‐volume court environment.
* Oversee high‐value and highly complex contracts across a broad range of areas, including court services (such as housing and AOD programs), operational services (including interpreter services), and digital services.
* Oversee complex contracts, including service delivery, performance management and compliance.
* Collaborate effectively across MCV, work with other jurisdictions, and engage with contracted service providers to support integrated and consistent service delivery.
In this key leadership role, you will partner with divisions across MCV—including Corporate & Innovation, Strategy & Performance, Court Practice & Services, and Court Operations—to deliver value for money outcomes and enhance contract governance. You will also work closely with other Victorian court jurisdictions, Court Services Victoria (CSV), and external commercial advisors to ensure a consistent, high‐quality approach to procurement and commercial arrangements.
This position is suited to a senior procurement leader who excels in complex environments, demonstrates strong commercial acumen, and is committed to driving continuous improvement and best‐practice procurement.

About you
You will be an accomplished leader who:
* Possess a thorough understanding of government procurement and contract management processes, with relevance to the justice sector.
* Demonstrate strong stakeholder management capabilities within complex organisational environments, including expertise in contract management and high‐level negotiations.
* Have a proven track record of concurrently managing multiple complex procurement and contract management processes.
* Formal qualifications in procurement and contract management are highly desirable.
