A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Workshop Manager to join our team in Adelaide.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in safety-critical operations, with a trade qualification as a mechanical or electrical technician. They will be responsible for managing a dedicated workshop, supporting Explosive Ordnance Projects, and driving a strong safety culture.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Workshop Supervision: Oversee the supervision of workshop staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring that all work meets required standards.
* Manufacturing Efficiency: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
* Safety Risk Assessment: Conduct regular safety risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
* Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records and documentation of workshop activities, including incident reports and quality control records.
Candidates should have hands-on supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environment, as well as leadership experience within technical quality frameworks. Experience with improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma is also beneficial.
