a ticket-grinding, BAU firefighting role.
We're looking for a
Level 3 IT Systems / Network Engineer
who genuinely enjoys
building, designing and improving environments
, not just keeping the lights on.
This role is
~95% project-based
and suits someone who wants to leave things better than they found them.
You'll be working across
infrastructure uplift, site rollouts, cloud and network projects
, and major platform improvements in a complex hybrid environment.

What you'll be doing:
* Designing, implementing and improving
enterprise infrastructure
(on-prem & cloud)
* Leading and contributing to
IT projects and construction site rollouts
* Building and maintaining
network infrastructure
(LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, Firewalls)
* Owning
Windows Server environments
— upgrades, capacity, availability and patching
* Supporting and enhancing
VMware and Citrix
platforms
* Administering and improving
Microsoft 365
(Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, Exchange)
* Designing and testing
backup, DR and business continuity
solutions
* Working closely with security teams on architecture, policies and audit outcomes
* Producing high-quality
documentation and standards
* Mentoring junior engineers and lifting capability across the team
This is a role where you're trusted to
design solutions
, not just follow run books.
What you'll bring:
* 5+ years
experience in a complex
hybrid IT infrastructure environment
* Windows Server
* Networking
(TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, firewalls)
* VMware & Citrix
* Microsoft 365
(Intune, Defender, Entra ID, Purview)
* Solid understanding of
LAN, WAN and Wireless networking
* Exposure to
cloud concepts and technologies (Azure)
* A proactive, self-driven mindset — you see gaps and improve them
* Confidence working at
Level 3
: designing, building, owning outcomes
Certifications (nice to have):
CCNA / CCNP, CompTIA Network+, MCSE, Microsoft role-based certifications
