About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Practice Leader provides guidance and leadership driving best practice, quality, and safety in delivering NDIS services.
Ensuring consistency and adherence to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework and person-centered, clinical governance, the Practice Leader works closely with services to identify and deliver measurable improvements and outcomes in quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of service.
Day-to-day, the Practice Leader:
* Supports the team's focus on delivering the best care, while monitoring and measuring key performance criteria and metrics.
* Oversees the quality of the customer journey.
* Supports a rich, diverse environment, encouraging exemplary performance in teams and individuals.
* Works closely with department heads, managers, compliance, and support workers holistically and safely, applying stringent adherence to legislation, guidelines, and standards.
* With the APO, implements behaviour support plans (BSPs) that aim to provide early intervention and reduce restrictive practice.
* Reports, within timeframes, to the NDIS Commission on reportable incidents, the use of regulated restrictive practice, and variations to practice.
* Provides a point of contact, as a key person, in the delivery of NDIS services.
* Delivers successful audits and assessments.
* Provides high-quality, regular reporting to the ELT & CEO on customer satisfaction and performance, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
About you
To be successful in this role, you need:
* Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychological, behavioural, disability or other health sciences
* Legal eligibility to work in Australia
* A satisfactory National Police Check
* NDIS Workers Check NDISWC
* Working with Children Check WWCC
* NDIS Commission E-Learning Modules
* Flu/COVID vaccination evidence (as required)
* Child Safe Environments - through their eyes
* Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse or Neglect RRHAN
* First Aid and CPR
* Driver's License
Experience:
* A comprehensive working knowledge of:
* The National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013, practice standards and obligations, quality and safeguarding
* Child Safe Legislation
* Behaviour support planning and restrictive practices, including reporting obligations and mechanisms
* Reportable incidents obligations and mechanisms
As well as:
* Experience/knowledge of complex autism and global developmental delay
* Demonstrated quality client relationships, cultural sensitivity, and consultative approaches to support teams, networks, and families
* Project management
* Proven success in direct management of diverse teams
