The Role
We're looking for a full‑time Customer Service Officer to join our Fremantle Head Office on a 7-month maximum term contract, covering parental leave. You'll be part of MSC Australia's Customer Service team, helping our customers with their export shipping needs and making sure they receive reliable, professional support.
It's a valuable opportunity to grow your experience in the shipping industry and learn from an experienced, supportive team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Handle customer enquiries across phone, email and online systems
* Create and manage export bookings, including special cargo
* Confirm vessel bookings and keep customers updated on changes
* Check pricing and booking details for accuracy
* Fix simple data or document issues as needed
* Prepare and issue required export documents
* Raise and send third‑party invoices
* Complete daily compliance and regulatory checks
* Maintain accurate files and customer information
Skills and Experience:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Comfortable learning new computer systems and processes
* Experience in the shipping industry is an advantage, but not essential
