As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in applying systems engineering principles and practices to improve the design, integration, and operation of water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring efficient project delivery, optimizing system performance, and driving continuous improvement across assets.
Our Systems Planning Water team supports water projects and is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Engineer Systems across Water to join the infrastructure business unit. This role provides technical expertise in design, system planning, and infrastructure investigation, supporting business decisions and enabling sustainable growth.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
1. Implement structured systems engineering methodologies to optimise project design, integration, and lifecycle management.
2. Develop and refine engineering processes to enhance project execution, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines.
3. Identify and implement strategies to embed systems engineering processes in the project lifecycle and support team adoption of these practices.
4. Utilise data analytics and system modeling tools to inform design decisions, optimise asset performance, and improve operational efficiencies.
Your success in this role will come from:
1. Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or related field, with relevant project experience.
2. Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles to complex infrastructure or utility projects.
3. Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
4. Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven problem-solving.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
