About the Role
This role is responsible for overseeing the nursing operations and management of nursing services within the health facility, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care that aligns with contemporary nursing standards and Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) policies and procedures.
You will provide leadership, operational oversight and professional guidance to nursing staff, supporting excellence in clinical practice, patient outcomes and service performance across the facility.
This is a Full-Time Temporary role based at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
About You
You are a committed nursing professional with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and will bring strong operational management expertise within a relevant clinical setting, with a proven ability to contribute to, monitor and report on key performance indicators aligned with nursing and midwifery strategic direction.
You have a solid track record in effectively managing human, physical and financial resources within defined budgets, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality healthcare services. Your communication and interpersonal skills are exceptional, enabling you to consult, liaise and negotiate confidently with staff at all levels, patients, families and external agencies. You are skilled at fostering positive organisational change and influencing others to achieve shared goals.
Highly proficient with a range of computer applications, you use digital tools to support operational effectiveness and quality improvement. Your leadership is grounded in contemporary change management practices, and you bring an informed understanding of the current issues and challenges facing the nursing profession.
