Urban Designer / Landscape Architect
Due to increased workflow within our growing and diverse Urban Design team, we are seeking an experienced Urban Designer / Landscape Architect to join our Sydney office.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for mixed-use architecture, precinct planning, and master planning.
You'll be working across a wide variety of projects, supported by company directors and senior staff, with the chance to contribute meaningfully to the design direction and graphic style of our brand. Our urban team has a focus on sustainable place making and urban heat.
About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating and producing reports and documentation across a range of project types and scales. The role suits someone who enjoys working collaboratively in a small, expanding team and is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong graphic and presentation skills who can help shape the visual identity and design quality associated with the ADW Johnson brand.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Urban Design.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in an Australian office or multidisciplinary practice.
* Proven ability to work independently and within a team on both small and large-scale projects.
* Strong documentation experience across all project stages: Concept Design, Development Applications, Construction Certification, Tender & Construction Documentation
* Familiarity with NSW development approval processes, statutory and strategic planning.
* Strong time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
* Permanent Australian residency or legal right to work in Australia.
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong cad and graphic skills – familiarity with Adobe suite, GIS, CAD/Sketchup.
* Excellent client and consultant liaison skills.
* Experience managing projects from fee proposal through to construction delivery.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Advanced graphic communication and presentation skills using industry-standard software.
* 3D visualisation capabilities.
* High level of technical and project management skills.
* Current driver's licence.
