Solutions Engineer (Pre-sales)

As we expand across Australia, we’re looking for a Solutions Engineer to help turn ambition into execution. You’ll be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, working remotely with travel to customer sites as needed. This is more than pre‑sales. It’s a hands‑on, high‑impact role that helps customers see what’s possible and brings complex projects to life.
The Role
You’ll lead the technical side of sales conversations. The person who helps customers move from “we’re struggling to see the value” to “we’re ready to go.” You’ll work closely with fleet operators, councils, utilities and infrastructure partners to design solutions that overcome site constraints – accelerating grid connections and bringing projects to life.
A typical day might involve reviewing load profiles, sketching a single line diagram with a customer, joining a whiteboard session with a delivery lead, or preparing content that shows why Kwetta is different. You’ll also support proposals, help navigate approvals and shape the early‑phase design process. This is a role you’ll shape as you go – building tools, processes and technical narratives that allow us to scale.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll Bring
- A solid background in solution engineering, technical sales or infrastructure delivery
- Strong electrical knowledge, especially in HV and LV systems and grid connection pathways
- Experience working with DNSPs, utilities or other power network stakeholders
- Confidence sketching and explaining single line diagrams and load profiles with customers
- A clear, grounded communication style with the ability to simplify complex ideas
- A team‑first mindset and willingness to collaborate across functions
- A can‑do attitude and the drive to get things moving, even when the next step isn’t obvious
- Openness to feedback and a belief in building better through learning
- Flexibility to travel across Australia, with occasional trips to NZ if needed

Salary: $170,000 – $190,000 AUD per year, plus ESOP and bonus, based on experience.
