You'll provide expert governance, compliance and risk management support, ensuring the Commission meets its statutory obligations and operates with transparency and accountability.


What you'll do


As a Senior Adviser, you will work within the Corporate Operations team to:

* provide secretariat and/or governance support to key committees including the VSB, PSAC, HRDC and ARMC
* monitor and support compliance with legislation and frameworks, including the Standing Directions 2018 under the Financial Management Act 1994
* maintain governance records, risk registers and compliance frameworks to support effective decision-making
* contribute to audit, assurance and performance reporting across the Commission
* build governance capability by developing clear reports, advice and guidance for senior leaders.


Who we're looking for


We are seeking someone who:

* has experience in governance, compliance or risk management in a public sector or corporate setting
* has provided secretariat or committee support, including preparing agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
* can interpret legislation, frameworks and policies and apply them to organisational practice
* communicates clearly and builds strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders
* adapts to changing priorities and works collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Experience using tools such as Excel, SharePoint or PowerBI to manage registers and reports will be highly regarded.
