Key responsibilities:
Oversee corporate operations including finance, procurement, customer service, ICT, and records
Support budget development, financial reporting, and long-term financial planning
Coordinate governance, risk management, audit responses, and compliance
Lead and mentor a team across corporate and internal service functions
Foster collaboration across departments and contribute to continuous improvement
Step into higher duties when required, with support and guidance from senior leadership
What we’re looking for:
Local Government experience, ideally with exposure across multiple corporate functions
A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, accounting, or a related field (ideally)
Leadership experience (formal or informal) with the ability to support and motivate others
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a regional setting and committed to community
CPA/CA qualifications are desirable but not essential
