Cyber Security Systems Engineer
Job Role:
Cyber Security Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating and maintaining systems while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and project requirements.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Managing the development and maintenance of security Assessment and Authorisation (A&A) documentation.
* Conducting threat and risk assessments, identifying and recommending treatment controls and mitigation strategies.
* Participating in security working groups at Product and/or Project levels with internal and external stakeholders.
* Providing input to and reviewing the development of system tests and analysis that verify system security controls.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office may be considered for this role after probation and discussion with the manager.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Cyber Security Engineering experience with software development, computer networks and embedded software systems.
* Knowledge and experience related to Defense cyber security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes.
* Knowledge and experience about contemporary security engineering process, standards, principles and best practice, particularly the PSPF, DSPF and ISM.
* Familiarity with complex systems (e.g., military systems) or related defence technologies.
* Familiarity of System Engineering in an ASDEFCON context is preferable.
* Tertiary qualifications in systems/software engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
* Pursuing or achieved relevant cyber security certification(s).
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. A defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to be an Australian Citizen and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance preferably NV1/NV2 level.
