About the Role
Lead the strategic customer portfolio for one of Australasia's largest rail infrastructure networks. Influence and manage commercial negotiations and consultation with customers, operators, and industry groups. Executive leadership role with significant commercial accountability across Aurizon's Central Queensland rail infrastructure assets.
Responsibilities
* Lead and execute the customer strategy for the Network business, aligning with enterprise priorities.
* Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key customers and stakeholders to drive long-term commercial and regulatory outcomes.
* Oversee customer account management and infrastructure construction contracts, ensuring successful execution of negotiated outcomes.
* Lead and manage consultation with customers and industry groups regarding network maintenance and capacity, infrastructure and operational changes.
* Anticipate future customer needs and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on customer excellence.
* Partner closely with operations, legal, and finance teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in customer leadership, account management, or commercial roles within transport, logistics, infrastructure or related sectors.
* Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at executive level.
* Experience working in regulated environments (desirable).
* Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
* A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive outcomes.
* Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or a related discipline (desirable).
