**Job Role:**
Our Sterile Services team requires a diligent individual to assist with the preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
**Responsibilities:**
* Sort, inspect, clean, disinfect, assemble, prepare, sterilise, store and issue reusable surgical instruments and equipment under general supervision.
* Assist theatre teams to ensure that equipment is correct and ready for use.
* Monitor repairs of instruments and pack linen, instruments and consumables for sterilisation.
* Check the functioning of sterilising and decontamination equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
* Complete tracking systems accurately.
**Qualifications and Skills:
* Certificate in Decontamination, NV level 3 in Decontamination or TVQ level 1 & 2 in Decontamination (desirable).
* Training can be given for the right candidate.
* Knowledge of SSD machinery, basic instruments and equipment, sterile packing techniques and ISO standards (desirable).
