Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a range of mining, ports and transport infrastructure remediation design projects across the country.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity in a highly regarded consultancy that values its staff and invests in their professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work on ongoing critical projects with a key focus on safety and quality.
* Work on structural design and load rating projects including analysis of mining/marine/transport infrastructure structures with concrete and steelwork.
* Act as client contact as appointed for specific projects.
* Conduct site inspections to identify structural defects and scope upgrades.
* Mentor a team of junior engineers.
* Liaise with staff members in other offices.
* Other tasks as allocated by senior staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful applicant will ideally have:
* Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of industry experience in mining, marine and transport (bridge, roads, rail).
* Competent using structural analysis software packages i.e. SpaceGas, Strand7.
* Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management and project delivery.
* Experienced with site inspections and defect identification.
