Your Opportunity
As the Regional Leader Community Services – South Australia, you will lead our Community Services delivery teams and oversee operational performance, contract compliance, and quality service delivery across the state. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for workforce planning, financial and resource management, and effective people leadership, including coaching and developing Area and Program Managers.
You will represent Mission Australia in building strong relationships with government agencies, funding bodies, community and corporate stakeholders, while driving proactive business development, tender submissions, and advocacy in collaboration with the State Director and other key teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with Mission Australia policies, procedures, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement strategies to achieve targets, monitor progress, and report outcomes.
* Provide strong leadership and effective people management, including coaching and development of direct reports.
* Build and maintain relationships with government, funders, community, and corporate stakeholders.
* Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve service delivery and client outcomes.
* Lead local tender development and contribute to contract negotiations.
* Develop and manage budgets to ensure service viability and sustainability.
* Contribute to organisational strategic planning and translation of strategy into operational plans.
* Manage services across a large geographical area.
Requirements for Success
* Minimum 7 years' senior leadership experience in human services operations.
* Proven ability to manage large budgets from multiple funding sources.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across community, government, and corporate sectors.
* Tertiary qualification in community services, leadership, or management (or equivalent experience).
* Ability to travel intrastate and interstate.
* Commitment to community and social outcomes, aligned with Mission Australia's values.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and advocate.
* Demonstrated experience in people management and professional development.
