Job Description
The successful applicant will secure a 12-month contract - maternity leave backfill (with possibility for extension) working 38 hours a week. Our Allied Health team operates out of both our Pimlico and Hyde Park campus, where you will be working as acute team leader across wards. Inpatient caseload may include; orthopaedics, surgical, intensive care, cardiothoracic care and medical units.
* Deliver high-level evidence-based physiotherapy with independence according to prescribed standards.
* Provide innovative Physiotherapy services advancing patient health outcomes and enhancing access to quality services.
* Contribute to the enhancement/modification of existing services based on the latest evidence.
* Optimise patient outcomes in a multidisciplinary continuum of care within respiratory clinics, ward and rehabilitation settings.
* Initiate, participate in and provide professional development activities promoting a learning culture within the team.
* Contribute to clinical supervision of students and mentoring of less experienced team members in routine and non-routine conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A tertiary degree qualification in Physiotherapy as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council.
* Current full registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA & Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
* At least three years' experience as a physiotherapist with significant post graduate experience treating patients in an acute inpatient setting.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team providing patient centred care.
* Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional complex physiotherapy clinical services managing varying caseloads and relevant clinical handover.
* Vestibular system assessment and management competency is highly desirable.
* Post graduate in leadership is desirable but not essential.
