Corporate Planning and Supporting Officer | 9-month contract located in Maitland | $58.44–$64.87 per hourYour new companyWe are seeking a Corporate Planning and Reporting Officer to join a team in Maitland for a 9-month contract. Located in the heart of Maitland, this organisation plays a key role in delivering essential services to the local community. You'll join a supportive, collaborative team within a forward‐thinking corporate planning and performance function. They value teamwork, communication, and people who enjoy producing meaningful work that directly benefits the community.Your new roleAs the Corporate Planning & Reporting Officer, you will help create high-quality, legislated community and annual reports that track how local services are performing. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to gather data, interpret insights, and transform these into clear, engaging content for community publication. Your work directly supports accountability, transparency, and long-term planning for the region.In this role, you will:Prepare quarterly community progress reports and the annual reportGather, interpret, and analyse data using the organisation's corporate planning system (CAMS – training provided).Translate data into meaningful, well‐written stories for the communityWork with directors, managers, and stakeholders to ensure timely data entryCoordinate content, formatting and quality checks for reportsBuild strong professional relationships across the organisationManage deadlines and deliverables within a legislated reporting cycleSupport planning, performance tracking, and continuous improvement activitiesWhat you'll need to succeedTo thrive in this role, you'll bring a blend of communication, data, and stakeholder management skills:Strong writing and content creation abilitiesExperience working with data, reporting or performance informationExcellent relationship‐building and communication skillsConfidence liaising with senior stakeholdersAbility to manage deadlines and juggle competing prioritiesHigh proficiency with digital tools and an ability to learn new systemsExperience in communications, reporting, analytics, business support, PMO, project coordination, compliance, or similar fieldsLocal government experience is not required – the team is open to diverse backgrounds.What you'll get in return9‐month contract – Monday to Friday. (parental leave backfill)35‐hour week with flexible options, including a 9‐day fortnight or compressed hours for the right hourly rate: $58.44–$64.87 per hour plus super. This will depend on your experience.
