About the role
As Community and Youth Project Officer you will be part of the Community and Sport section and support the plans and initiatives aligned with strategic priorities, such as connection, wellbeing, and the empowerment of Ipswich Youth Advisory Council. Which is made up of young people to influence decision making and shape Ipswich communities.
Some of your key responsibilities will include :
* Provide community development and support in liaison with community and charitable groups / organisations which are consistent with community needs
* Coordinate the Ipswich Youth Advisory Council to share its voices to enhance the liveability of Ipswich
* Work collaboratively with other departments supporting co-ordination of the delivery of programs, services and initiatives
* Undertake a range of administrative duties including report writing, correspondence, records management and budgeting monitoring

To be successful in this role you will have :
* Relevant qualification and/or 2 years' experience in the field of youth and/or community development / services
* Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
* Ability to work outside normal hours
* Excellent organisational skills and a can-do attitude
* Belief in our values ofsafety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership

This is a fulltime position with a salary commencing at $93,866 plus 12.5% superannuation.
