Project Overview
Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. Job Summary
As Risk Manager you will be responsible for provision of support and guidance for Project Risk Management (PRM) and relevant internal and external stakeholders in PRM matters across the project. Responsible for providing technical advice and management of the risk management program. The role requires interpersonnal skills with ability to drive focus on PRM, lead through influence and tie PRM with key interfaces across the project scope.
Major Responsibilities
* Lead the project risk management program across the project.
* Manage and maintain risk activities to ensure alignment with the risk management plan.
* Responsible for quantitative risk analysis (schedule and cost) across the project.
* Training project team in risk management and facilitation of workshops for projects, programs and the portfolio.
* Advise project leaders in risk awareness.
* Deliver training in project risk management.
* Arrange and facilitate workshops to deliver to the Project Execution Plan.
* Reporting to key stakeholders represent the project risk management program at project leadership meetings.
* Liaise with CPP and customer leaders in all aspects of the project risk management program.
* Responsible for collating risk intelligence and associated 'lessons learned' or best practices and ensuring distribution throughout the project.
* Champions the creation of a work environment, helped by leadership, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction on the project.
Education And Experience Requirements
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge And Skills
* Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups. Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
* Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative risk management is necessary.
* Experience in the infrastructure / heavy civil / aviation / renewables / construction industries advantageous.
