Brightstar Resources owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia.
To support our expanding operations and upcoming projects, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our rapidly growing team.
The role
As a Senior Project Engineer based in our Subiaco office with adhoc travel to site, your responsibilities will be as follows:
Coordinate and manage project execution for Processing and NPI scopes across feasibility, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Provide on-site construction coordination, supervision, and administration support, ensuring contractors and subcontractors adhere to schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and critical path activities are achieved.
Track and report on project costs, forecasts, and budget variances; implement corrective actions as required.
Interface with technical engineering, commercial, construction, HSE, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
About you
Bachelor's degree in (Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Civil, or Project/Construction).
Experienced in project engineering or project controls experience in mining/mineral processing projects (gold experience desirable).
Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control, contract management, site construction coordination, and document/data control.
Familiarity with multi-discipline project execution for processing plants and NPI (e.g., buildings, utilities, power, water systems).
Proficient in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools.
Proactive self starter, eager to build and help shape the future of Brightstar and WA gold Mining.
