As the Governance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on governance compliance in accordance with the Agencies governance and policy requirements. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will ensure that stakeholder needs are met, risks are identified, and appropriate actions are taken. If you have a strong background in governance and a desire to contribute to the success of a high-profile organisation, this role is for you. On offer is a section 26 perm transfer or 12 month non-ongoing contract.
About the role:
- Coordinate, monitor, and report on governance compliance, identifying risks and determining appropriate courses of action to meet stakeholder needs in accordance with governance and policy requirements.
- Take accountability for the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures consistent with the agencies governance requirements.
- Develop and review a range of correspondence, providing editing and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
- Offer expert advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders on complex governance matters, in alignment with relevant policies and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative environment by building and sustaining effective relationships and providing constructive feedback.
- Represent the agency at internal and external meetings, effectively conveying key governance information and representing the interests of the agency
- Prioritise governance activities and tasks, demonstrating initiative to progress work and meet business objectives.
- Analyse information to identify continuous improvement opportunities, proactively resolving problems, and implementing alternative courses of action.
- Conduct audit activities and plan, schedule, and implement quality assurance related activities to ensure compliance and enhance organizational performance.
