Details of the Division and Team
The Group Audit (GA) function is a professional, business focused, proactive risk‑based global audit team that assists the Bank's business and infrastructure areas to identify key control weaknesses.
Position Overview
The Auditor participates in internal audits of a business/functional area, with a majority focus on Investment Bank, in accordance with the Audit methodology and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks within those business areas under moderate supervision. The Auditor may also be required to participate in ad‑hoc projects and Special Investigations. The Auditor works in a cooperative manner with subject matter experts and other teams from across the function to provide 'front‑to‑back'/SME audit coverage. The Auditor may undertake multiple audit assignments and assist in drafting high‑quality audit findings for review by a principal audit manager.
The Auditor must typically proactively develop and maintain professional consultative working relationships with clients and respective support areas and will use a range of approaches to collect relevant and readily available information to assess risk, resolve issues or carry out tasks.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Audit independently on audits of a specific business/functional area/region and sometimes on multiple audits at the same time
* Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to the risks within those business areas, working under moderate supervision, e.g. in complex situations
* Proactively develop and maintain professional consultative working relationships within their own function and with stakeholders inside the bank and respective support areas
* Use a range of approaches to collect relevant information to assess key risks, resolve issues or carry out tasks
* Work in a co‑operative manner with subject matter experts and other teams from across the function and outside the function to provide 'front‑to‑back' audit coverage
* Occasionally participate in ad‑hoc projects
* Keep abreast of pertinent industry, regulatory and business practices
* Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution
Your skills and experience
* Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
* Professional/industry recognised qualifications such as ACA and CPA
* Business knowledge and experience and understanding of the risks and regulatory requirements with a focus on Investment Bank and Corporate Bank activities
* Knowledge and experience of auditing standards and concepts preferred
* Knowledge of 2nd Line functions, Operations, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Finance and Information Technology
* Solid communication skills, communicating with clarity, both orally and in writing, in a logical order and structured approach. Fluent in English (written and verbal) and local languages if necessary
* Solid relationship management, analytical, problem solving, communication, influencing, planning and presentation skills
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced business environment
* Able to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organisation, transfer knowledge and develop capability of team members
