About the Role
Our Recruitment Practice is working with a strategic partner to place a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer into a growing MSP environment. This is a hands‐on technical role focused on delivering across the Microsoft stack, including but not limited to M365, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune for a diverse client base. You'll be embedded in active engagements, working directly with clients to implement, troubleshoot, and optimise solutions rather than sitting above the work.
This role suits someone who thrives on doing, not just directing. The preferred candidate will be a strong L3/L4 practitioner who can own technical workstreams end‐to‐end and engage confidently with client stakeholders when needed.
Experience & Skills
* 5+ years of hands‐on experience in Microsoft cloud environments, ideally within an MSP or consulting context
* Any experience in presales will be highly regarded and valuable for the role
* Deep practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and associated admin and migration work
* Strong identity background, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, hybrid identity, and Zero Trust principles applied in real deployments
* Solid Azure experience across IaaS and PaaS workloads, subscriptions, networking, compute, and cost management
* Intune and endpoint management experience, including device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and autopilot
* Exposure to Microsoft Security tooling, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Purview, or Sentinel is valued
* Comfortable working directly with clients, explaining technical decisions clearly without needing to over-architect the conversation
* Able to manage multiple client workstreams concurrently, which is a reality of MSP delivery
Certifications
* AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or AZ-305 — required or near completion
* MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) — highly regarded
* SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator) — highly regarded
* Additional Microsoft certifications are valued
