Are you a qualified mechanic with experience in armoured vehicle maintenance and inspections? A key government agency is seeking a CAV Technical Officer to support the management and maintenance of a global Civilian Armoured Vehicle (CAV) fleet. Based in Canberra with regular international travel to over 20 global locations, this role offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise in high-stakes environments while contributing to the safety and operational readiness of diplomatic missions.
What you'll be doing:
- Conduct overseas CAV technical inspections and service centre assessments
- Liaise with suppliers for spare parts and perform acceptance inspections on new CAVs
- Assist with fleet maintenance, reporting, and the development of technical documentation
- Provide mechanical and technical advice, supporting the delivery of fleet capability
What we're looking for:
- Automotive or mechanical qualifications and Landcruiser platform experience
- Strong knowledge of CAV design, protection standards, and technical inspections
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- NV1 clearance, valid Australian driver's licence, and willingness to travel internationally
