We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Fellow to join our team. As a Medical Oncology Fellow, you will have the opportunity to develop advanced skills in patient care and research, working closely with senior consultants and our Clinical Research Director.

The role involves operating under the supervision of our Clinical Research Director and senior consultants, with a focus on developing your research and academic career. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by an extensively published international research collaborative, assisting with manuscript writing and progressing your clinical skill development in your specialty.

You will also have the chance to gain experience in the planning, implementation, and conduct of clinical trials, including first-in-human trials. This will be supported by senior experienced clinicians, providing opportunities for developing a career pathway combining clinical trial participation and high-quality private practice.

The core shifts are Monday to Friday, with some weekend coverage throughout the year. We are negotiable on FTE to your preference, between 0.6 and 1.0 FTE. A minimum of 20% of your time will be solely dedicated to research, with remaining portions allocated to direct patient care.

We seek a caring professional who can act as an advocate to assist patients to make informed decisions, showing a level of empathy, respect, and inclusion that aligns closely with our values. You will be required to complete RACP training (FRACP qualification) and be eligible for AHPRA registration as a medical oncologist/consultant physician.
