The UTS Faculty of Health is a broad and multi-disciplinary faculty that addresses health from conception to end of life.

A long-standing partner of health professions, the faculty is highly engaged with the health sector, industry, practitioners, and the worldwide research community.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Lecturer in Nursing to join the School of Nursing and Midwifery on a full-time basis, where you will support the teaching and learning activities across undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the Discipline of Nursing.

The key deliverables in this role are to:

* Develop and prepare materials and teach into undergraduate and postgraduate programs as required using evidence based high impact teaching strategies
* Contribute to collaborative processes to design, coordinate, deliver and continually improve subjects and courses
* Integrate the UTS Teaching and Learning strategies and initiatives to achieve the goals of the UTS 2030 Strategy
* Be present and engage with students both face-to-face and online to enhance the learning experience
* Participate in relevant research activities including generating impactful outputs which are aligned to the School's, Faculty's, and University's key research strategies
* Establish a program of high-quality research that aligns with Faculty and UTS research strategy
* Engage actively in research leading to both internal and external funding, high impact publications and outputs
* Represent the school, the faculty and the university to the wider community by fostering, promoting and developing links with industry, government, academic and professional bodies.

About You

You will bring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students and industry partners. You will also have experience in the design and development of learning materials and curriculum Other requirements include:

* A PhD in nursing or related discipline
* Qualifications relevant to teaching (e.g. Grad Cert in Higher Ed) (desirable)
* Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated knowledge in teaching and learning activities at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels
* Experience in supervision of groups of staff and/or development and mentoring of staff and higher degree research students
* Experience in teaching at tertiary level, including face-to-face, blended and fully online teaching

What We Offer

Base Salary Range: $152,245 - $174,841 (Level C), plus 17% superannuation

The positions are full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.
