We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Manager in our Playwork team.
About the Position
The successful candidate will have a strong background in team management and human resources, as well as experience in delivering and maintaining high-quality play spaces.
As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with children, families, education staff, community stakeholders, and AIP staff efficiently. You will ensure that the space aligns with Playwork Practices, providing children with access to high-quality child-led play.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support AIP staff, including contract management, rostering, and regular team meetings, while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
* Coordinate professional leadership and development to staff.
* Maintain relevant policies and procedures.
* Support multiple play sessions each week, with the potential of organising and supporting special events throughout the year.
* Conduct dynamic risk assessments and safety sweeps.
* Catalogue and replenish resources regularly (Loose Parts, First Aid, perishables, etc.). Able to drive work vehicles with trailers.
Requirements
* Working with Children Blue Card required.
* First Aid and CPR certification necessary.
* Open Driver's License required.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications advantageous.
* Previous experience working with children beneficial.
* Previous experience in similar roles desirable.
