This is a hands-on, varied position ideal for someone who enjoys working across finance, administration, membership systems and office operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Finance & Administration Manager provides essential support across the organisation, including finance, membership administration, people and culture, IT coordination and general office management.
This role suits someone who is organised, adaptable and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage accounts receivable and debtor management, including invoicing, payment follow-up, and maintaining accurate member account records
* Manage the accounts payable function, including employee expense processing
* Post general ledger journals and manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
* Administer membership records and invoicing using iMIS (CRM)
* Respond to member enquiries related to accounts and administration
* Act as the internal contact for iMIS system support and reporting
* Provide people and culture administration support, including onboarding
* Coordinate IT hardware, software licences and liaise with external IT providers
* Oversee general office operations including travel bookings, supplier liaison and office supplies
* Provide administrative support to the CEO, Director of Corporate Services and Leadership team as required
About You
You are a capable all-rounder who enjoys working in a small organisation where your contribution makes a real impact. You bring strong attention to detail, a practical mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence.
You will ideally have:
* At least 5 years' experience in a small to medium-sized organisation
* Experience in finance or office administration roles
* Intermediate experience using accounting software (Xero preferred)
* Experience using iMIS or a similar CRM system (highly regarded)
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A collaborative, flexible and solutions-focused approach
* Australian work rights essential at time of application
Experience working in a membership organisation, industry association or not-for-profit will be highly regarded.
