Responsibilities
Volunteer firefighters are trained and equipped to carry out a range of activities, including:
* Emergency response to bush and scrub fires
* Undertaking local fire prevention activities with the community
* Supporting other emergency service agencies as required
* Community education and engagement

Role Details
Category: Emergency Response
Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months
Type of Work: Safety & Emergency Services
Time Required:
* 1–2 training sessions per month during the season.
* Occasional weekend training exercises throughout the year when available.
* Attend emergency callouts when available.
Training:
* All training and personal protective clothing & equipment is provided.
* New members are required to complete basic training prior to attending incidents.
