Due to internal promotion and divisional growth, we have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Relationship Officer to join our Sydney team.
The Relationship Officer's key role is to provide credit and administrative support to the Relationship Executives and assist in developing relationships with new and existing customers by providing suitable financial solutions. Supporting our customers’ consumer and commercial lending needs, you will predominantly work with complex commercial lending up to $50 million.
Reporting to the Head of NSW, this role offers opportunities for growth, learning from highly experienced teammates and leaders. Your key tasks will include:

Assist Relationship Executives in generating loan approvals and deposits as specified in their budgets.
Undertake credit and financial analysis related to personal and commercial loan transactions, including property development.
Assist Relationship Executives by completing detailed and quality lending applications/submissions and undertaking annual reviews for existing clients.
Manage accounts and process transactions.
Ensure all loans are settled in a timely and accurate manner.
Open new accounts and assist the branch with customer inquiries.
Provide efficient and courteous service to customers, maximizing relationship-building opportunities.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Sydney with hybrid working arrangements.
To be successful in this role you will have:

Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills in both consumer and commercial lending.
Knowledge of banking regulations, policies, procedures, products, and services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Optimist is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Experience in account opening, documentation preparation, KYC/AML, ABC, loan settlement process, and portfolio management.
A relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage.
