Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Archivist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preserving and managing historical assets.
As the Archivist, you will be responsible for assembling, authenticating and archiving materials such as philatelic design artwork, stamp proofs, and heritage collections in line with regulatory standards.
You will work closely with the Head of Information and Data Compliance to support the accurate documentation and transfer of items to the National Archives or appropriate secondary storage, while ensuring the integrity and completeness of our collection is upheld.
This is a unique opportunity to work with some of Australia's most iconic historical materials and contribute to the preservation of our national heritage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong understanding of archiving principles, including the proper preservation and transfer of historical collections
* Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
* Tertiary qualification in Information Management or a related discipline
* Knowledge of Australia Post's history and corporate context
