Clinical Nurse Role
As a skilled Clinical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans, ensuring that patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
The Palliative Care Ward is a 14-bed unit providing specialised care for critically ill patients. The ward is staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, and support staff trained in managing pain and providing emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
* Promote effective communication, facilitating teamwork within the department.
* Provide patient education and act as a resource when appropriate.
* Support and supervise staff and students, including orientation and preceptoring.
You must be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and possess well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential.
