PARC Engineering is currently seeking a passionate & motivated HR/IR Advisor to join our agile team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing our workplace culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the business
- Provide IR/HR advice and support to staff and to managers within the Company
- Develop, implement and review HR policies, procedures and systems
- Undertake HR management including performance management, grievances, training and development and employment separation
- Conduct workforce planning and labour cost analyses
- Ability to coach senior leaders and project teams in relation to best practice human resources
- Prepare HR/IR reports and statistics as required and in accordance with project and client requirements
- Provide advice into tendering activities as required
- Maintain employment records for all employees ensuring legislative requirements are achieved
- Professionally represent our organisation with clients and subcontractors
- Assist with exit interviews as required
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policy, procedures and systems and ensure effective application of those throughout the company
- Provide advice to employees on the effective management of employee relations including; Agreement terms and conditions, Performance management, EEO, Counselling / Discipline and Termination
- Coordinate Union Right of Entry visits including escorting, debrief meetings, client reporting and issue resolution
- Proactive IR Risk Management, mitigation of IR incidents and manage industrial disputes
- Interpretation of employment contracts, enterprise agreements and legislation
- Under take special projects, investigation and research on human resource / industrial relations related matters as requested
- Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
Requirements:
- 2-3 years previous experience in a HR/IR Advisor role
- Degree qualified in Human Resources Management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with a particular focus on Excel
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills & high level of confidentiality
- Strong understanding of HR policies & legislation, preferably within the construction industry
