Job Overview
This role involves developing and implementing professional development and training activities for mental health clinicians in North Queensland.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Forensic Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) across the state to grow and develop the CYMHS workforce.
* Developing and implementing training activities to enhance the skills of CYMHS clinicians.
* Collaborating with CYMHS leadership to establish minimum training requirements and facilitate opportunities for staff development.
* Providing specialist forensic mental health consultation and clinical services, including advising on complex clinical issues.
* Applying advanced clinical knowledge and skills to inform the development of the CYMHS workforce.

The Forensic Child and Youth Mental Health Service is a specialist program providing assessment and treatment services to young people with mental health issues and significant behavioural disturbance that have resulted or place them at elevated risk of involvement with the criminal justice system.
