Our client is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Category Manager to lead sourcing initiatives and drive value across both medical and non‐medical supply categories. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise‐wide procurement strategy, optimize supplier performance, and deliver measurable cost savings while improving service levels and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‐paced, collaborative environment and brings a strong balance of analytical thinking, negotiation expertise, and relationship management. You'll play a key role in shaping category strategies, enhancing supplier partnerships, and contributing to a high‐performing procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

* Own and execute end‐to‐end category strategies aligned to long‐term business objectives
* Lead strategic sourcing events including RFPs, RFQs, supplier negotiations, and contract execution
* Design and implement preferred supplier programs to drive standardization, cost savings, and service improvements
* Analyze spend data and supply chain trends to identify cost reduction opportunities and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO)
* Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements, influence purchasing decisions, and improve demand planning
* Collaborate cross‐functionally with clinical, operational, and legal teams to standardize products and enhance efficiency
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
* Negotiate and review NDAs, contracts, and supplier agreements
* Track KPIs, monitor category performance, and present actionable insights to leadership
* Drive procurement best practices, operational excellence, and disciplined spend management
* Lead and support process improvement and standardization initiatives across procurement activities

Qualifications

* 3–7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
* Strong understanding of category management principles and multi‐year strategy development
* Proven ability to translate data insights into measurable business outcomes
* Experience leading sourcing events and managing supplier negotiations and contracts
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data and identify trends
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and execute from strategy through implementation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in cross‐functional environments
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience

* Experience working with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs)
* Background in healthcare, medical supplies, or regulated industries
* Experience driving large‐scale process improvement or standardization initiatives

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
