About VincentCare Victoria
VincentCare Victoria is an award‐winning organisation established to provide a range of accommodation and support services to people that are facing disadvantage throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria.
Our aspiration is to be the leader in providing care, hope and advocacy for those facing disadvantage. Our purpose is to create opportunities and lasting change for the most marginalised. VincentCare is well equipped to provide a continuum of services that effectively meet the needs of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
About the team
VincentCare Victoria and The Salvation Army work in consortia to operate the STAR program across the Inner North and North West Catchments. The program aims to reduce AOD related harm to individuals and their families by providing an integrated and holistic service response through Assessment, Counselling, Care and Recovery outreach and group approaches.
This program operates across the Inner North and Northern Community Hubs including North Melbourne, Glenroy, and Sunshine. Other sites may also be required.
We work together to support clients through all stages of their journey from crisis to recovery and to lasting and sustainable change.
Little bit about the role
VincentCare Victoria is seeking an appropriately‐qualified person to take on the position of AOD Assessment and Brief Engagement Clinician who has demonstrated experience supporting adults and families with alcohol and other drugs (AOD) concerns by offering high‐quality, therapeutic assessments, support, and case management.
In this role, you will work closely with clients to provide assessments, brief interventions, and potentially outreach Care and Recovery Coordination case management (if caseload capacity allows). This role will see you not only providing individual support for our unique cohort, but will also provide you with an opportunity to facilitate therapeutic group interventions and work collaboratively with other services to improve outcomes for our clients.
You will work from evidence‐based, integrated and client‐centred approaches to provide tailored support through clinical frameworks and modalities to establish co‐developed realistic recovery plans that are individualised and empowering. Your aim is to support and encourage people to identify their own self‐efficacy and achieve sustainable change, taking independent control of their recovery journey.

* We offer a place where you know you are contributing to an organisation committed to helping others. We are passionate about #Social Justice.
* We have some great talent who are happy to share their experience and skills to help you on your way.
* Salary packaging, sometimes called salary sacrificing is a huge attraction here! It is a popular way of providing employees in the community sector with tax benefits over and above their salary. It means the real value of a salary package can be significantly higher than the nominal value.
